HOUSES IN DIAMONTE. WALKING CLINIC, NEW WELL DIGGER ARRIVED

HOUSE FOR 11
WALKING CLINIC
Today we built 2 houses in Diamonte and Andrea (one of our interpreters) and I got to do a "walking clinic" which is a door to door clinic. It is really great because there is not all the chaos of a clinic done in a church or community center, There is time to fellowship and pray with the people with no pressure of a long line witing for care. Andrea was awesome, letting me speak spanish and helping me when I was stuck. We got to see where the people lived. 11 lived in the dwelling in this picture. We were instructed not to go to the next part of the community because the nearest house was 1-2 miles away from construction site. Becoming upset at the last house, I told Andrea that I was thinking about disobeying the order and going to help the rest of the community but we decided to pray first. After we crested the hill back to the main road a large group of people were standing at the bottom of the path. Turns out they were from the community that was located far away. God brought them to us. So we concluded the clinic in the middle of the road, seeing each family and treating them. 57 were served today. It was a good day.

FRESH WATER ON THE WAY!!

The other really cool thing that happened today is that a new type of well digger arrived to bring water to a community that has to walk great distances up and down mountains to get water. This well was made possible by donors from Torch teams and will be working together to get clean water to the people by the end of the summer.
